彼はファッティー・グラトン（デブの大食い）もしくは単にグラトンと呼ばれている。

以前は違う名前があったような気がするのだが、みんながそう呼ぶので今はこれが自分の名前だと思っている。時々、もやが晴れたように頭がすっきりしたときには、昔の名前が気になるのだが、そんなことは最近まれになってしまった。

グラトンは普段、Whirling Fury寺院のすぐそばに住んでいる。というよりも住まされている。初めてこの町にやってきたときに大暴れした彼は、タウンガードに取り押さえられて、寺院の緩やかな監視の下、ここで矯正教育を受けているのだ。そのため、彼はいつもWhirling Furyの聖印とともに「暴れているのを見たらWhirling Fury寺院まで！」と大きく書かれた上着を着せられている。

しかし、寺院の生活は退屈だ。そんなときは港まで行って海を眺める。そうすると不思議と気分が良くなるのだ。海が呼んでいるような気がして。そして海に乗り出して自由に暴れたい。そういう気持ちが湧き出すのだった。そしてWhirling Furyの僧侶の目を盗んで準備することも怠らない…
